If you have a "press on" or "bulb type" trunk seal, you can find the joint in the seal and carefully pull it off of the flange. If you have a glue down trunk seal, the seal typically cannot be adjusted as they are glued in place. For this reason it is important to purchase a high quality, direct replacement seal from a specialty supplier like Rubber the Right Way.
