Hi,
Thank you for reaching out. This kit was developed in collaboration with James Kehr of Best Offer Counts. James is an expert on 1960's Buick vehicles, having sold parts and maintained a Buick salvage yard and parts business for decades. He has recently, within the past 30 days, parted 4 1965 Rivieras. I spoke with him regarding your concern. While you are correct that the '65 bumper is different, he has never seen a single piece filler on the 1965. All the ones he has seen have been 2 piece, even on the '65. We have also looked online. While other companies manufacture this same part, all of them show it as a two-piece part correct for the 1963, 1964 and 1965. In fact, after a few hours of research we could not find evidence of a one-piece filler anywhere, including in parts books.
We are always learning and want to make our parts the right way so I would ask if you have a copy of your original 1 piece filler? We would love to use it as a template and can make you a machine cut reproduction at no cost. Please understand this is not about who is right or wrong, simply an effort to improve our products and/or ensure our data is accurate.
